Why isn’t your website bringing in clients? The Website Business & IT Audit reviews your whole site for message, copy, SEO, tracking and AI visibility. Within 1–2 business days you get three documents: a decision summary, a detailed review with ready-to-use copy, and a task list for your developer.
Most website analyses give you a score. I tell you why not enough clients contact you, and what to fix first.
In short: websites rarely fail to bring clients because they are ugly. Much more often the problem is the message, the client's path, and the lack of measurement. I experienced this on my own, well-working website too: it was number one on Google, and still I found 38 things to do. In this article I show you what is worth checking, what is offered in Hungary today under the name “website audit”, and how to choose.
Many small business owners tell me the same thing: “We have a website, it looks fine, but it brings in almost no inquiries.” Most of them look for the solution in a new design or in more ads. In my experience, the problem is rarely the colours.
Why is design not the problem?
In the first few seconds, a visitor decides whether to stay. They don't ask and they don't complain, they simply move on to your competitor. In my experience, good structure matters more than a striking design. Three things drive interested people away most often:
- The message. It is not clear quickly what you offer, to whom, and why they should buy from you.
- The client's path. A button leads to the wrong place, or the form asks for too much.
- No measurement. You don't know where your leads come from, so you don't know what works and what doesn't.
If you then spend money on ads or a new website, you pay for the mistake again.
What does a good website audit check?
It is worth looking at a website from four angles at once, because they all affect the visitor together. I added a quick test to each one, which you can try today.
1. Business, product and strategy
Is it clear in five seconds what you offer, to whom, and why they should buy from you? Is there a clear offer, price and next step?
Quick test: show your homepage to someone for five seconds, then ask what you sell. If they can't tell, your visitor can't either.
2. IT and technology
How does it look on a phone, how fast does it load, are the settings, cookie banner and email authentication in order, so that your emails don't end up in spam?
Quick test: open your website on your phone over mobile data and count how many seconds it takes to become usable. Then scroll to your phone number: on which screen is it?
3. Measurement and planning
Do you measure where your leads come from? Do you know how many calls and inquiries came from each ad?
Quick test: can you say how many people contacted you through the website last month? If not, that is your first task.
4. AI visibility
What does ChatGPT or Google's AI summary say about you? More and more buyers start their search there. If the AI describes you wrongly, you lose clients without knowing about it.
Quick test: ask ChatGPT who it recommends in your field in your city. Are you in the answer, and is it correct?
A real example: my own website
When I wanted to replace the Mancsológia website, I ran my own audit on it first. Mancsológia is my family business, doing physiotherapy for dogs in Budapest, and the website had worked well for years. For its main keyword (“dog physiotherapy Budapest”), it was number one in Google's organic results, it had a 5.0 rating from 80 reviews, and it has four trained therapists. At first glance, it didn't need much fixing.
The audit found 38 things to do: 9 critical, 21 important and 8 fine-tuning.

Excerpt from the strategic summary of the Mancsológia website audit (in Hungarian).
These surprised me too:
- Part of the advertising could not be measured. With a monthly ad spend of 162,500 HUF, we could not say exactly how many calls and leads the website brought in, because a faulty tracking code meant that some of the phone calls were not measured.
- The phone number was in the wrong place. The main goal is a phone call, but on the pages that the ads lead to, the number was only at the very bottom, 9–14 thousand pixels deep on mobile.
- The main button on four pages had a spelling mistake. Nobody on our side noticed, but our clients probably did.
- The name of the flagship service was confusing. The contents of the packages appeared in several versions, and the opening hours were given in two ways. How many clients might this have confused?
The good news: almost all of this could have been fixed with text changes and settings. The audit recommended finishing the nine critical to-dos in the first two weeks. Most of them are a few hours of work, and you don't need a new website for them. In the end we built the new website too, because we also changed the system behind it, and I built the recommendations straight into it. Without the audit, I might have carried the same mistakes over to the new site.
What is offered in Hungary today under the name “website audit”?
Before I launched my own service, I looked at what you can get on the market. There are roughly three kinds of offers, and each has its place:
| Free analysis | Video audit | Mini audit | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typical price | 0 HUF | 15–25 thousand HUF | 90–150 thousand HUF + VAT |
| Turnaround | varies | 3–5 days | about 3 days |
| What you get | automatic PDF | video and a short summary | 10–15 slide PDF |
| Business angle (offer, price, client journey) | rarely | partly | partly |
| Competitor and keyword analysis | rarely | rarely | rarely |
| AI visibility | – | – | – |
| Task list for whoever does the work | – | – | rarely |
The market data is based on publicly available Hungarian offers in October 2026, and is for information only.
- The free analysis is a good first look: you quickly see whether there are obvious technical errors. It does not answer business questions.
- The video audit is cheap and personal, and can give good ideas, but it is usually short, and there is no worked-out material behind it.
- The mini audit is already an organised, written document, usually focused on one or two areas. It is good if you know exactly what you want checked.
How to choose a website audit provider?
Whoever you order from, it is worth asking these six questions:
- Do they also deal with business questions, or do they only list technical errors?
- Do you get ready-made text suggestions, or just “make the headline better”?
- Do you get priorities, or a hundred equal errors?
- Who is the task list for: you, the copywriter or the web developer? Does everyone get their own part?
- Do they deal with competitors and AI visibility?
- What is the turnaround, and what happens to the whole website: do they check all of it, or only the homepage or one landing page?
What does the rgz.hu Website Business & IT Audit do?
I built my own service on these questions. I review the whole website from four angles at once, and you get three documents that build on each other, each for a different reader:
- Strategic summary (for you, to decide): about 10–12 pages, readable in half an hour. An overview by area, the most important recommendations with reasons, the top 10 to-dos in order, and a timeline.
- Detailed review (the full picture with ready-made texts): every finding with a screenshot, a reason and a priority mark, with text suggestions you can paste in.
- Implementation guide (for whoever does the work): every to-do on its own task sheet, step by step, split by role, so that you can hand the right tasks to your developer, your marketer, or yourself for the business decisions.
Fixed price: 149,000 HUF, for the whole website, up to 25 subpages (for a webshop, I check a sample of the product pages). 1–2 working days from receiving the completed questionnaire, fully online, without phone calls.
The process is simple: you order, fill in a questionnaire of about 15 minutes (for example your website, your main service, your ideal client and two or three competitors), I do the rest, and you get the three documents by email. You don't have to give me any access. If you have a Google Analytics or Search Console account, you can give me read-only access or send screenshots, so the picture will be more accurate. I only use your data for the audit. You can find the details on the service page.
Who I don't recommend it to
- If you don't have a website yet: then a 30-minute talk is worth more, feel free to contact me.
- If you want the product pages of a large webshop optimised one by one.
- If your whole company should be reviewed (software, processes, automation).
Who makes it?
I am Gábor Romhányi: economist, IT engineer and MBA, with more than 25 years of business and IT experience. From strategy to implementation, I have worked on many kinds of projects, and I speak the language of both business and IT. As a corporate consultant, and as the founding business developer of my own family service company that I built from zero, I saw that a website is not a shop window, it is one of the most important salespeople of the company. That is why I look at yours the way I look at my own: does it bring clients?
